I contacted 208 Roofing and made an appointment for an estimate. Wayne, the owner, showed up the next day. He walked the roof and told me that my roof was in pretty good shape for its age (23 years). He pointed out some issues with the seals around the vent pipes but said the roof still had a few years of life. I was impressed that he didn’t try and sell me a roof.
I got an estimate the next day. I decided to go ahead and replace the roof. Last year, I had a hard time finding a homeowner’s insurance that would insure me because of the age of the roof. I figured the cost of a new roof would only increase over the next few years.
I was scheduled for Thursday but his crew finished up early on another job and Wayne asked if he could start on Wednesday afternoon. I agreed.
He had a big crew, maybe 9 or 10 guys. They spread tarps along the perimeter of the house, covering my shrubs and landscaping. They worked efficiently, tearing off the old roof. I had to leave for a few hours and I was surprised to get a text from Wayne saying the job was finished!!!
When I got home, I couldn’t believe how great the house looked. The crew did a fantastic job of cleaning up. There were no nails or debris anywhere in the yard or shrubs. The new roof looks incredible. My neighbors were jealous.

How long does a roof installation take?

How often should I have my roof inspected?
This depends on the type of roofing material you have. But as a general rule of thumb, it is advised to have your roof inspected for every 2-3 years. Or, after each severe weather event, such as high winds and hail!
Do you offer any warranties on your roofing services?
Yes we do! We are proud to inform customers that we offer the longest labor warranties in the state of Idaho. Our labor warranty is 10-years on new roof installations, and 50-years on our roofing materials.
What areas do you service?
We serve most of southern Idaho State. As a general rule of thumb, we service from Boise west to the Oregon border (and surrounding areas there), and as far east as Burley, Idaho and surrounding areas. We also cover as far north as McCall, Idaho & Sun Valley. We also service as far south as the Nevada State border!
Do you do commercial roofing and also metal roofs?
YES! we do both and have lots of experience in both of these roofing needs. If it’s roofing related, chances are very good that we do it.
